our farm partners

Common Roots works with three outstanding farms to carry out our mission:

  • The Farm at South Village is the home base for our School Supported Agriculture program, where our food educators and farmers work with students from planting through harvest to provide food for our school cafeterias. In order to support our food education program, Common Roots maintains the pick-your-own flowers and garden for Farm at South Village CSA members.
  • Rockville Market Farm provides shares to families in need through our CSA Access program. They have given a generous gift to Common Roots to support our food education program.
  • Bread and Butter Farm is a new farm in South Burlington, and was our home base for pumpkin growing and other fund-raising endevours in 2010. They have a fabulous on-farm bakery. Common Roots can set up field trips at this farm if you would like to visit with your class or community group. Please contact Mollie Silver to make a plan.
