NEVER DOUBT THE POWER OF GOOD CHEFS!
Common Roots has been blessed with the time and talents chefs in our licensed kitchen. In the fall of 2018, Chef Jim from the Inn at Shelburne Farms, and the Mill Market and Deli jump-started our Chef Extravaganza by holding a class where community members paid a fee and learned how to make Champion’s Chili. We produced 12o quarts and our guests sat down to a satisfying meal with dynamic conversations! The remaining portions were sold at our Farmstand!
Chefs Jim, Veronica, and Rebecca launched Farm to Fork in 2019 and worked 12 weeks with us until they were back at Shelburne Farm to reopen the Inn. Chef Anthony created Farm Galettes for our Farmstand at the Farm at South Village which sold out!
From these events, we were showered with the expertise of Chef Rose who has championed her way to lead our Farm to Fork Team with excellence and depth!
