We Promote Food equity through Education, Local organic farming and food access

Our three pillars:
Food Education
Providing opportunities from preschool through college & beyond to learn basic nutrition principles, food cultures, and culinary skills.
Food Access
We provide access to locally grown fresh food through our farmstand, farmstand-at-foodshelf program, and housemade meals provisioning.
Organic Farming
We practice local, organic agriculture from soil to consumption with a minimum footprint and increased climate resilience.
Our Mission
Common Roots engages farmers, educators, and community members to foster a sustainable local food system that supports food security, food education and organic farming.

Our Vision
To create a thriving local food system through organic farming and nutrition education for all ages, where everyone has equitable access to nourishing local food. Key focus areas are understanding that food is our medicine, and, upholding the values of sustainability and dignity to achieve a truly healthy community.
