The red barn doors are officially open, and the Common Roots Farmstand is once again welcoming neighbors, families, volunteers, and visitors for another season of fresh local food and community connection.
Located on Farm Way off Allen Road East in South Village, South Burlington, the Common Roots Farmstand offers certified organic produce grown just steps away on the farm, along with prepared foods, local products, and seasonal favorites from Vermont producers. The Farmstand is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM throughout the growing season.
Opening weekend brought sunshine, spring energy, and a wonderful turnout from the community. More than 120 customers visited during the Farmstand’s first three days, despite temperatures in the 40s.
The shelves and refrigerators are now filled with an abundance of spring harvests from the Common Roots Farm team including lettuce mix, spinach, arugula, baby kale, pea shoots, radishes, microgreens, scallions, spring onions, and cilantro.
The Farmstand also features prepared foods and house-made products from Chef Anthony and the Wheeler House kitchen. Early favorites this season include his Maple Balsamic salad dressing, along with prepared meals, flatbreads, and locally sourced Vermont dairy products, eggs, cheese, and meats, and more!.
