Flatbread Fridays Return for the Season...Farm to Fork continues with great summertime plans!

An Outdoor Seasonal Favorite is back for the Season--

Common Roots

The Common Roots Kitchen

The Wheeler House kitchen is once again buzzing with activity as Common Roots launches another season of Farm 2 Fork Tuesdays and Flatbread Fridays.

These weekly community meals have become a seasonal tradition for many families throughout South Burlington and beyond. Built around fresh ingredients from the Common Roots Farm and other Vermont producers, the menus highlight local food, seasonal cooking, and the connection between community meals and Common Roots’ larger mission of food education, food equity, and organic farming.

Chef Anthony and the Wheeler House kitchen team have prepared a rotating lineup of seasonal dishes running from May 19 through June 30, with menus featuring vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and family-friendly options throughout the season.

Seasonal Farm 2 Fork Tuesday offerings include shredded pork street tacos, Mediterranean kafta bowls, roasted salmon with farro salad, summer grain bowls, and Mediterranean falafel bowls.

Flatbread Fridays continue to feature freshly made fermented flatbread dough baked with seasonal toppings and Vermont cheeses including asparagus and broccoli alla vodka flatbread, apple brie and caramelized onion flatbread, pesto rosso flatbread, and kale walnut pesto flatbread.

One of the season’s biggest highlights will be the Third Annual Farm 2 Fork BBQ Picnic on Tuesday, June 30.

Guests will enjoy:

• BBQ organic chicken breast
• BBQ Black River Meats pork ribs
• BBQ tofu
• House-made Vermont Bean Crafters baked beans
• Potato salad
• Grilled Common Roots vegetables
• Free maple lemonade with every meal

Farm 2 Fork Tuesdays and Flatbread Fridays help support Common Roots’ broader mission by generating revenue that directly supports food education programs, food access initiatives, and organic farming operations.
