Jeff Culkin
Director
Jeff first visited as a child and was immediately drawn to the rural landscape of Vermont, mountains, woods, and streams. I moved to Burlington shortly after graduation from Niagara University in 1979. After a forty year career in Technology Sales & Marketing, Jeff retired as a partner in SymQuest Group in 2023.
Jeff owned and operated a semi-professional lacrosse franchise in the QSLL known as the Vermont Voyageurs from 2008-2016. VT Voyageurs competed against high level teams from New England, New York and the Province of Quebec.
Jeff previously served on the Essex Junction Prudential Committee (K-8 school board) Essex Union #46 High School Board, as well as the Chittenden Central Supervisory Union Board in a variety of positions from 2001-2014.
In his free time Jeff enjoys all that the Vermont outdoors has to offer, downhill and XC skiing, biking, fly fishing and volunteering for the Green Mountain Club.
What initially attracted Jeff to Common Roots Farm was the delicious pizza served on Flatbread Friday. Jeff supports the mission of Common Roots, providing locally grown, high quality organic produce, food education in South Burlington Schools and promoting food equity through the South Burlington Food Shelf.
