Food Education
Our Food and Nutrition Education Programs are continually expanding to reach children in the elementary through high school grades and to engage adults — always celebrating through touch and taste.
Our Interns and Volunteers bring our programs to life, forming lasting bonds with children, parents, and teachers who come to Common Roots for enrichment and to find joy and knowledge along the way.
Farm to School
Children in elementary grades receive nutrition education, made fun through dynamic lessons with hands-on and tasting experience.

Farm to Go
Middle schoolers come and learn to prepare meals in our kitchen at Wheeler House. It's always fun, and a great learning experience.

Internships
Our Internship Program engages 60 high school and college students annually to the ideals and rewards of contributing to the community.

Summer Camp
Common Roots provides children with the opportunity to learn from the land, enjoy nature, garden play, and learn

I like that we get to learn how to make so many recipes with really fresh foods!
