Wheeler Homestead
The Historic Wheeler Homestead features extensive and beautiful lawns and gardens surrounding the Calkins House. Common Roots main offices and culinary kitchen are located here. As a venue the homestead features incredible mountain views to the east and peekaboo views to the west. Sunrises and moonrises are spectacular here! Our outdoor wood fired pizza oven (and our Chef, or course) create amazing flatbreads every Friday evening for your dining pleasure during the warm weather months.

We welcome celebrations of all kinds, from gatherings of friends and families to workplace and corporate events, to parties and weddings. Common Roots’ Chef prepares delicious farm to table meals with produce sourced from Common Roots farm and other local purveyors. Menu choices range from flatbreads & local greens to fine dining. Our lawn and garden venue is available spring, summer and fall. Tent rentals assure a weather-proof event. Calkins House dining room is available for small functions year-round.
